Yellowhead Chiefs forward Tryn Turner has been named the Manitoba Female Hockey League Under-18 AAA player of the week after recording two goals and an assist in a pair of wins last weekend.

The Grade 12 student from Neepawa — who has committed to play for the York Lions U Sports program next fall — is fifth in team scoring with 13 points in 18 games.

The 13-6-1 Chiefs are back in action Thursday against the Westman Wildcats in Shoal Lake at 7:30 p.m.
