Max Brook and Tom Friesen had 10 kills each as the Brandon University Bobcats earned their fifth-straight sweep of the Canada West men’s volleyball season.

The Bobcats thumped the host UBC Okanagan Heat 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-13) in Kelowna, B.C., on Saturday.

Brandon (8-6) posted a .386 hitting percentage while holding UBCO (4-10) to .078.

In the women’s match, the Heat (8-6) dumped the Bobcats (0-14) in a quick 3-0 (25-19, 25-9, 25-15) sweep.

Keely Anderson put up seven kills and two errors while the rest of the team combined for 11 and 16. Brandon hit .000 to UBCO’s .263.

The men’s team is off this week while the women visit Regina (0-14) in their best chance to avoid a winless season on Friday and Saturday.
