I totally agree with​ the Sound Off writer. Animal cruelty and abuse must also include the sows that are penned up in gestation and farrowing crates.

Can’t blame him

After reading the article about the emails and feedback Brian Pallister received regarding COVID rules, I will say that one cannot please everyone. However, I will say that he did a good job and wanted what was best. I do not blame him for retiring — being in this role isn’t easy — but I commend him.

Shop local

With the holiday season around the corner, we should reinstate our pandemic-era efforts to shop local. Local businesses are still suffering through the effects of COVID, even if it seems the pandemic isn’t as much of a burden as it once was. Obviously, most people are struggling to make ends meet due to inflation. But if you are planning on purchasing gifts over the holidays, take your support to our local stores!
