Accident waiting to happen
This is directed to the middle-aged woman who insists on walking in the street along Rosser Avenue and 34th Street. I would like to add, right beside a perfectly good sidewalk. I have met you while I am driving both east and west along Rosser Avenue. If your intent is to cause a traffic accident, you are eventually going to succeed. The outcome is not going to be good for anyone involved. You do not appear to be in any sign of distress, making me completely baffled by your choice of walking into oncoming traffic or traffic coming behind you. Please use the sidewalk, for your safety and mine.
Good luck
Good luck to the young bull rider who is travelling to Las Vegas next month to compete in finals! It’s incredible that someone who is in Grade 8 has the courage to compete in such a tricky sport. Good for him!
Take violence seriously
Glad to see the man who is accused of beating his partner has been denied bail. Too many times we see people who have a history of violence released back in the community until their next court date, only to strike again. Yes, innocent until proven guilty. But sometimes the justice system needs to consider the potential damage of approving someone’s bail. Hopefully, the accused’s partner will be able to sleep a bit more soundly knowing this man can’t touch her again.
