No more Trump
When will Donald Trump learn? Now he’s seeking the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential election. That’s the last thing America — and Canada — needs, another four years of the Trump regime. After all the crap he’s tried to pull, including his role in propping up the Capitol rioters, I’m disgusted by anyone who continues to stand by his side. Good riddance.
Mask mandate
I realize pandemic fatigue is real. I’m tired, everyone is tired. But that the province won’t mandate a simple practice such as mask wearing is beyond me. Look at our hospitals, the rampant respiratory viruses that are taking over our health-care system. The short-term memory is real among our government officials. You can recommend mask wearing all you want, but most people won’t do it unless it’s ordered. That’s the sad reality we live in. Unless people stay up to date with their vaccines, we’re going to end up right where we started.
Manitobans need help now
I read the article about the food currency program and the provincial funding it recently received. What a neat program. I’m glad to see the government is investing in some creative initiatives. But the article said the “food currency” would be eligible for use during the market season from late June to early October. How is that going to help program participants now, in mid-November? Seems like it’s too far in the future to help Manitobans in need now.
